As the person behind 15+ different monikers; Philogresz, Richie Finestra, Mastering Black, The Lost movie, and labels; TEAM Records & PHIL, Ilker has birthed numerous singles and albums since 2002, imprinting his sonic signature on revered labels such as Bedrock, Echocord, !K7. His prowess extends from neo-classical electronica to techno, jazzy-flavored micro cuts to ambient cinematic landscapes.

In 2014, the world felt the pulse of Īlker's sound with the release of 'Mooder' on Bedrock Records, a jewel that ascended international charts. Gilles Peterson's nod on BBC Radio 1 for 'Move Me' affirmed Ilker's sonic mastery. His dub techno piece 'Emerald,' gracing Echocord, found its place in the prestigious DJ Kicks series on Studio !K7.

With his Philogresz alias topped charts on Resident Advisor, Beatport, and Kompakt. His 2014 debut album, 'The Lost Movie,' premiered in Tokyo, leaving an indelible mark on Shibuya's iconic Module club. Media accolades from Vice, RA, Thump, Noissey, DJ Broadcast, and Fazemag attested to its brilliance.

Īlker’s sonic odyssey has graced global stages, from the pulsating beats of the legendary 10 Days Off and the electronic sanctuaries of Boiler Room to the eclectic vibes of Tomorrowland and the avant-garde landscapes of Copenhagen’s Distortion Festival.

Under his Philogresz moniker, Īlker has embarked on a global tour, leaving sonic imprints at venues like D-Edge Sao Paulo, TBA New York, Trouw & Radion Amsterdam, Arkaoda Istanbul, Culture-Box Copenhagen, Berns Stockholm, Revolver Norway, Macarena Barcelona, and Rye Wax London.

Over the years, Ilker has grown Zwart Goud into a distinctive record institution in Amsterdam — a meeting point for vinyl, electronic music, artists and the culture that surrounds them. What started as a record store has evolved into a living platform for events, DJ clinics, education, distribution and the continuous exchange of ideas and music.

With more than two decades devoted to electronic music as a producer, DJ, musician and curator, Ilker has built a body of work that moves freely between genres, scenes and generations. His latest album, X, released under his Mastering Black moniker, marks another chapter in this ongoing journey; a deeply personal work shaped by years of experience, experimentation and an enduring connection to electronic music.
